Two Ceres teenagers will be in court facing charges of possession of marijuana following their arrest on Monday, Nov. 3.

At 9:52 p.m. Officer Derek Perry was in the 2900 block of Fifth Street when he stopped Hector Valtierra, 18, of Ceres, and his underage companion, a 17-year-old Ceres boy.

Valtierra lied about his name but the officer learned his true identity and that he was on probation. Perry searched both and found them with marijuana and planning to make concentrated cannabis.

Valtierra was charged with possession of marijuana while the minor was cited in to the juvenile court system.
