A 56-year-old Modesto woman was arrested early Friday morning and found with warrants and drugs as a Ceres Police officer was checking on her doubled over on the sidewalk.

At approximately 1:58 a.m., Officer Ian Perry was patrolling the area near St Jude’s Catholic Church on Mitchell Road when he saw Terri Lynn Ferrell, 56 of Modesto standing in front and hunched over at the waist. Concerned about her well-being, Officer Perry went to check on her and learned through a records check that she had two misdemeanor warrants issued by Turlock Police Department.

Officer Perry arrested her on the outstanding warrants and during a search, located drug paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. Ferrell had several prior narcotics convictions which made her illegible for opting for drug treatment instead of court. Additional charges were also added. Ferrell was transported to Doctors Medical Center for medical clearance prior to being booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
